Taco and Trish, one of our happy our orange fronted parakeets / kākāriki karaka “newly weds” (recently flock mated) have hatched a total of 7 chicks. These are the first chicks for the season and the oldest now 25 days old. All have been banded with special colour combos to tell them apart before they fledge from nest. All looking lively and healthy, will fledge roughly from 35 days after hatching. Here is a photo of Trish too, the proud mother!
