A massive 93 captive raised birds were released into their natural environment on 4th March 2021, following a thorough health check, banding and screening, to ensure all 60 Brown Teal/Pāteke and 33 Orange Fronted Parakeets/Kākāriki Karaka have the best chance of survival in the wild.
